Who we are
The beginning of our story dates back to 1991, when we started as an Italian espresso machine importer. We are proud to be a third-generation coffee business with humble roots in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Our grandfather, Luis Bohorquez, began the legacy as a green coffee exporter. His passion for coffee was passed down to his children—our father, Abelardo Acevedo, and our mother, Miriam Acevedo—who continued the family tradition as coffee roasters in Colombia, eventually expanding the business to Miami, Florida.
Today, the legacy that Luis started lives on through his grandchildren.
In 2001, we became Authorized Distributors of Lavazza. What began as a small operation has steadily grown, expanding our product line and becoming the cornerstone of our business. We are proud to now serve the entire state of Florida.
Colonial Coffee Espresso remains a family-owned and operated business, run with care and dedication by husband and wife, Orlando and Sandra Acevedo.
